Modern Life

Poured from a 16 oz can dated January 6, 2020. Aroma is hop forward with fruity, floral notes. Lots of mango, passion fruit and guava with lighter tropical citrus and grapefruit notes. Light floral notes with a bit of lychee as well. Light cracker malt notes and a hint of alcohol. Pours a hazy, murky, dusty, golden straw with a large, thick, pillowy, white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers. Moderate lacing and faint legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with light cracker malt notes. Moderate bitterness and light alcohol spice. Quite a bit of fruity hop notes with a lighter floral note. Lots of mango, passion fruit, guava, lychee and papaya with tropical citrus and grapefruit. Some light dank, resin notes with a bit of a floral note as well. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice IPA. Solid hop notes with complimentary esters. Nice tropical fruit notes with a bit of a fruity note that I can't quite pin down, but is similar to one of those fancy banana varietals.

Keg at Red Hand - Dalston. Poursmostly clear gold with a creamy, white head. A bit flora, with some spicy pine, lemon peel, pithy grapefruit. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Pretty clean on the finish, really, with nips of pine, dried pale malts, citrus rind. Good stuff.
