Bottle @ summer boat trip. Black body with a nice tan head. Aroma has dark malt, licorice and chocolate. Taste is actually nice as it’s not excessively sweet, but has a fine balance between malt, chocolate and licorice and still gives a clear impression of a being a milk stout. Might suffer a bit on the low alcohol but otherwise it’s surprisingly well made.

330 ml bottle, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Black colour, small beige head. Moderate aroma of liquorice, malts, lactose and dust. Light bodied. The flavour has distinct liquorice, unexpectedly more distinct and sweeter in the aftertaste than the first sips. Low bitterness. Not perfectly balanced, but fair enough.

GYG 180519. Black color with a tan head. Aroma is licorice, chocolate. Flavor is licorice, dust, roasted malt, coffee, rye, chcolate. Very nice and easy drinkable beer.

Bottle. An unclear reddish brown beer with a creamy, finger-thick beige head leaving curtains. The aroma has a good dash of licorice, with coffee and rye bread in the back. It's medium bodied, semi-sweet and with a very soft carbonation. Sweet licorice flavor with some dark chocolate and coffee, rye bread and dark sugar. Hints of cola towards the sweet licorice finish. Nice this one, but too thin on the palate. The imperial edition is sure preferred. 190518

Svart med høyt lys brunt skum. Lukter pompernikkel brød, kakao, mørk sjokolade og noe mineralsk lukt. Middels fylde. Søt smak, melkesjokolade, noe kandis, rosiner og søt engelsk lakris. Middels lang.
