Brewed for our 100th Gyle. Blueberry Berliner Weisse dry-hopped with the intensely tropical & citrusy Mosaic for an incredibly refreshing sour beer. This beer was fermented in a mixed fermentation of American ale yeast and fruity Lactobacillus plantarum and is packed with a fresh, fruity and tropical blueberry flavour, well balanced with a gentle sourness.

Bottle picked up in Edinburgh. It pours pinkish - blush with a hint of haze with a small white head. The aroma is sweet ripe blueberry, fruit compote, jam, berry yoghurt, sweat and funk. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, lactic, blueberry skin, apple skin, red grape, light sherbet, seltzer, pickled onion monster munch and some musty funk. Finish is dry and lightly tart. Light body and fine carbonation. The fruit is not quite as bright on the taste as I had hoped for. Pleasant and easy drinking, but lacks a bit of wow factor.

Keg at the brewery. Nose is blueberry, cherry, bloodorange, some plum. Palate is sour blueberry, cherry, citrus. Lime finish. Quite nice. Blueberry is a bit fake in the nose.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours clear red with a pink-tinged head. Aromas of chalky blueberry skins and light sourness. Taste is like Vimto though! Very fruity, sweet. Faint sourness creeps in at the end. That chalkiness lingers a bit.
