Brewer Paul was inspired to make this beer when he was in Copenhagen last year and had a blueberry yoghurt smoothie in a food market. Whilst the beer has evolved since its inception, the concept remains that of a creamy blueberry fruit smoothie IPA (whatever that means). We've given it a hefty spike of front-loaded bitterness to balance out the full-bodied sweetness.

On tap at Euston Tap. Hazy deep amber brown colour lasting thin white head. Definitely blueberry on aroma. With some piney hops too. Mostly a fruity blueberry ipa though. Body is ok. Sufficient malt to carry it. Some sweetness. Some bitterness on the finish. I am not a fan of blueberry but this was pretty good. Some dank hop flavour. I thought it was a typical Fourpure beer. Well made good flavours excellent but not brilliant. Good peppery hop finish though. Delivered a good hit.

Keg at the Euston tap west. A mostly clear amber orange coloured pour with a a sticky loose white head . Aroma is soft blueberry, candy floss sugars, toffee, light pine needle. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, toffee, pine, orange rind, soft berries. Palate is semi sweet soft moderate carbonation. Ok. Quite unique.,

Keg at the Cock Tavern - Hackney. Pours clear gold with a reddish tint, and a nice, tightly packed off-white head. The nose has mostly pine and hearty citrus fruits, with only undertones of blueberry. Light-medium sweet flavour with nice resinous character, some juicy orange, mango, moderate piney and rindy bitterness, again just some ripe blueberries in the background. Medium to full bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Resinous finish, lightly warming, with more juicy orange and rindy-piney bitterness, soft ripening blueberry character, oily pine, melon. Quite a good IPA, in fact. A little old school West Coast, with a nice fruity edge.
