Black like molasses. Black like your soul. Chewy & roasty, with notes of black coffee, English toffee, bakers chocolate, charred wood, and a touch of spicy rye on the finish. No adjuncts. Just stout.

Draft at Paragon, 2/19/26. Dark brown, small medium brown head. Boozy, caramel, dark malt, chocolate. Light roast. Could use some balance, the booze slightly overwhelms. Solid.

Can. Black with a cm of tan head that lasts OK. Aroma of caramel, roast, over extracted coffee. Only medium bodied really. Bittersweet with roasted and caramel notes balanced by firm enough bitterness. Alcohol sticks out a little. Pretty good.

On tap at KCBC, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has medium roasted malt and a touch of coffee. Flavour is much the same, with medium roasted malt, espresso, and dusty dry cocoa. Nice malty character, though the palate is rather light. Good stuff.

KCBC What We Don’t See Imperial Stout 9% Got this on sale, it’s a thick motor oil pour with fizzy beige foam. The aroma is rich miso savory cacao paste. Full bodied with a raspy mouthfeel. The taste is dark bitter chocolate paste with umami soy/miso savory elements. Solid stuff.
