Keg at DogTap Ellon for the single barrel event. It pours hazy reddish - brown with a medium beige head. The aroma is quite rich, spicy, fragrant, brown bread, toffee, oak, earth, some vanilla and vinous character which brings bit of green fruit and zest into the mix. The taste is bit heavier than expected, bitter - sweet, rich, vanilla toffee, oak, earthy funk, spicy rye, brown bread, earthy, white wine, lemon zest and touch of gooseberry with a warming, booze finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. Perhaps a bit heavy, but has a good depth of flavour. Fun stuff, but I wouldn’t chug too much of it.
