A dry-hopped version of our classic Byker Blonde chosen by the customers of one a local venue as the most flavorful of a range we trialed to explore different hop combinations.

Staged dry hopping with Citra pellet gives an additional depth and high citrus notes.

Cask at Brinkburn Street brewery tap, Byker, 15/05/2025.
Moderately hazed golden orange topped with an off white cap.
Nose is orange peel, melon, grass, airy malts.
Taste comprises tangerine, mellow citric flesh, light breads, soft malts.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close.
Decent enough golde.

Half-pint, draught, shared with Finn at Brinkburn Street Brewery. Patch surface over a next-to-clear golden body, clingy lacing. Moderate smell of mild floral fruits, dry. Peachy flavours with cereal malts. Short malt-fruity tail. Average, more or less. (Byker - Newcastle upon Tyne, 20.03.2024).

Delt med Rune. Stråfarget. Filmskum. Litt uklar. Lett gressaroma. Smaken tørr. Malt. Gress. Tilløp til bitterhet.

Hand-pulled half-pint at the Brinkburn Street Brewery, Bar and Kitchen on 14th April 2023, part of a rather large 'Flight' of six halves! Clear golden body, weak white head. Citrusy from start to finish, not my thing.

19/1/2019. Bottle from Glug, Newcastle shared at the 2nd Kesgrave 50/50. Pours clear pale gold with a small bubbly lasting white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, malt, flowers, grass and light tropical fruit. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness and very light tartness. Moderate body, slight oily and watery texture, average carbonation. Hoppy, citrusy finish. Nice drop.

Cask at the Guildford Arms. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of grapefruit and light lime. Taste is more grapefruit and light malt. Thin finish.

On cask at the Guildford Arms. Appearance - Nose - lemon and green stalky notes. Taste - more citrus and light resin. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture. Dry creamy and resiny finish. Overall - solid example of the style.
