Aroma of tart fruits, citrus, Saison yeast, floral notes, hops. Flavour is moderate tart with a light bitter finish. Nicely balanced and excellent mouthfeel. Refreshing and easily drinkable. Delicious collaboration brew.

Bottle, way too old (1,5 years past expiry date). Clear golden color with white head. Aroma’s: fruity, grassy. Fruity sour, light caramel retronasal. Flavor is light sour, rather soft.Light bodied. Short finish. Pretty much like an old style saison (at least, how I remember them, old fart that I am). would be better in Summer though.

0.75 l bottle from ’Slijterij Den Gouwen Aar’, best before November 2015. Clear, golden yellow with a huge, foamy, stable, white head. Floral, yeasty-spicy and fruity aroma of lemon peel, grapefruit, straw and ginger. Slightly sourish, floral, yeasty-spicy and fruity taste of lemon peel, ginger, some grapefruit, straw and hints of clove, followed by a short, slightly tart, peppery-dry and medium bitter finish. Medium body, spritzy and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Tasty and refreshing but also quite simple. Maybe a bit past its prime but still very nice.

Bottle at chriso’s. Pours clear gold with a frothy white head. Lots of eaters in the nose, citrus peel, yeast, wheat bread. Medium sweet flavor with sugary wheat bread, ripe lemon, tangerine. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Finishes sweet and lightly warming, with more yeast, ripe lemon, wheat bread and hay. Not bad.
