Bottle bought @ bierkompass. Pours hazy deep yellow with a frothy and fizzy goldenish white head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is rustic and tiny funky with crackers, unripe pears, hay, dry soil, white pepper corns, lemon peal and hints of barnyard. Taste is tiny sour, slightly bitter, tiny floral, tiny estery, slightly funky and slightly phenolic with crackers, lemon juice, unripe pears, rose petals, hay, dry soil, minerals, barnyard and lemon peal. Mouthfeel is dry, tiny tart and light bodied. Finish is tiny sour and tiny bitter with crackers, rose petals, hay, dry soil, barnyard, pear skins and lemon peal. Nice refreshing saison. Would have loved some more acidic and/or funky complexity (wine barrel ageing perhaps) but this is a solid table beer and a classic saison that goes down easily. --- Beer merged from original tick of OeOe on 20 Mar 2015 at 22:49 - Score: 7. Original review text: Light pear esters, light rose petals, yeast phenols and bretty funk. Refreshing but had hoped for more acid/funk complexity. Wine BA it? 3,7

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub Oersoep Tap Takeover. Hazy pale yellow color, average sized white head. Smell and taste are typical saison: yeasty, hayish, grassy. The good thing about this beer is that it’s very refreshing and the light sourish citrussy touch is really pleasant. A bit dry finish, decent body and carbonation.

Clear golden colour, diminishing white head. Aroma of malts, yeast, quite floral, light biscuit, citrus. Light sweet, light bitter flavour, quite floral, saison yeast, bubblegum. Finish light yeast, quite floral, nice bitterness, lingering saison yeast notes. Very enjoyable, but then again, a colab between Oedipus and Oersoep can’t go very wrong, I imagine.!
(from 75cL bottle @ home. Thanks for the bottle, Sander!)
