330ml can, takeout from The Wolf, Birmingham. Pours a misty gold, overly large white head. Familiar saison yeast on the nose. Taste sees some decent saison sweetness, light spice with some welcome lemon shades, hiding the strength well. On the whole, it doesn't seem to bring anything new to the table. Enjoyable, but not hitting the high notes.

Appearance- light amber, a giant foamy head (despite a careful pour) which settles fairly quickly. Aroma- orange, lemon, musty notes, lemongrass, spices, hints of malt. Taste- lemon, orange, boozy sweetness, spices, citrus fruit, tart fruit, fluffy malt, slightly rough aftertaste, full and juicy mouthfeel, bittersweet finish. A little rough around the edges but good overall.

Can, gift from my brother. Hazy amber body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of orange pith. Flavour of copper, parma violets and an unpleasant sour finish. Medium body with a fizzy mouthfeel. Sour and difficult to drink.

Keg at Six Deg North ABZ. It pours hazy golden - amber with a medium off-white head. The a medium off-white head. The aroma is rich, spicy, ginger, orange peel, banana, apple, pear, hay, marzipan, biscotti, cereal and fruit cake. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, spicy, straw, minerals, lick of alcohol, apple, pear, hay, straw, hay, almond biscotti and some white bread with q firmly dry finish. Medium+ body and moderate, fizzy carbonation. Rather enjoyable turbo saison. Would have clocked this as made in Belgium. Could get messy on this.
