I’ve used Browns apples to craft this light and refreshing number. With elderflower notes, it’s little like an apple version of Prosecco – and is a huge hit with anyone wanting a slightly more delicate, instantly quaffable cider. And did we say it has won a 2-gold-star Great Taste Award?!

On tap at London Cider House, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out apple core, gentle sweetness and a touch of farmhouse notes. Flavour brings out fermented apple notes, with brown sugar, aspartame and a strange funk. Not too happy with this one.

500ml bottle from Gloucester Services Farmshop. Sparkling golden colour, short-lived white foam head that dissipates to a thin rim and aroma of apple, vegetal & nutty hints. Taste is apple, sweetish, fruity, sesame-like note, along with some light tannin. Medium bodied, light carbonation, medium finish. Quite drinkable.

500ml bottle (5%), shared with Soph. Clear gold appearance. Aroma of juicy medium-sweet apple fruit. Oily palate, nice medium profile, juicy sweet, not overly so, not too complex but very palatable and balanced.

Gravity tap, 5 % abv, taster on the house at Hereford Beer House. Shared with Finn. Bright pale yellow body, naked at the surface, no lacing. Apple skins on the nose. Taste of rather sweet ripe apples. Ends sweet with oily apples. Accepted. (01.02.2020).
