Once in a while you’re fortunate to brew with true brewing royalty, Hop Tripper is one such instance where Master Brewer Mitch Steele of New Realm Brewing (ex-Stone) joined forces with Team Fourpure to create this surprisingly drinkable beast of a Double IPA. It’s our most heavily hopped beer to date, being dry hopped twice with a combination of Centennial, Simco and a touch of Citra. All the hops were added late in the brewing process to maximise flavour and aroma whilst providing the smoothest possible bitterness. Light golden in colour and weighing in at 70 IBU, you’ll find a fragrant floral nose, with plenty of citrus flavours, some lemon zest, passionfruit and pine. Here comes the Hop Tripper (turn it up).

Keg at the Fourpure taproom. Pours cloudy orange-gold with s tight, creamy white head. The aroma holds dank hops, pine, ripe citrus, melon and papaya. Light-medium sweet flavour with low piney bitterness, more melon, pale bread, dank pine. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with some rindy citrus, resins pine, ripening tropical fruits, nice dank edge. Solid strong IPA.

Keg at Fourpure brewery, Bermondsey, London. A hazy golden/yellow coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, orange, tropical fruit on the nose. Tastes similar, hoppy, citrus, orange some tropical fruit. Not what I would call a DIPA, served too cold perhaps. It is fine though.

On tap at the brewery Bermondsey. Hazy amber colour lasting white head. Rich tropical fruit aroma. For the abv it does drink well with just some heat on the finish. It’s still a really good dipa. Love the fruit. Somewhere around the pink grapefruit area. Excellent in fact. Really enjoyed it.
