Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; opaque pitch black pour thin creamy light beige head, aroma has sweet molasses and some charred malts, taste has smooth chocolate, sweet malts, hint of dark fruits, slightly bitter in the finish.

Bottle from the dregs run. Cheers Craig. Black with a thin beige head. Aromas of light chocolate, toffee. Taste has a touch of liquorice, mostly toffee. Sweet finish.

Hand bottle at Craigs. Pours black, nose is chocolate, toffee, liquorice, taste is sweet, liquorice, toffee.

Cask @ Mallinsons Corner, Huddersfield. Black with an off-white small head. Subdued roasted malts serve to hide the ales strength to an extent.

Cask. Rutland Arms, Sheffield. Hazy, dark brown. Bubbly, beige head. Nose has chocolate malts. Some coffee. Wet muscovado. Taste sets off sweet, turning spicy, light roast bitter. Thin mouthfeel. Some hop punch on the finish.
