Our homage to the great smoked beers of Bamburg, the Rauchbier is a smoked dark lager, brewed in London.
Drawing on a decade of commitment to the celebration of this style, the Rauchbier is brewed with a unique smoked malted barley, kilned over open beechwood fires.
The beer is a deep mahogany in colour, and pours with an off white head. A brooding aroma of sweet beechwood smoke meets the nose, and rich flavours of toasted malt and sweet-cured bacon follow on the palate.

Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours deep amber-brown with a tan cream topping. Lots of dark fruits in the nose, plum, fig, some brown bread, minimal smoke. Medium sweet flavorbwith nice burnt toffee notes, smoked ham, mild cocoa, light earthy bitterness, torched grains, raisins. Medium bodiednwith fine to average carbonation. Finishes sweet, with lots of dark malt character, plums, dates, mellow cocoa, smoked malts, more raisins, restrained bitterness. Quite tasty overall, nicely layered.
