This hazy golden lager is the unfiltered twin of our ever-popular St. Mungo. Zingy with a bit more bite, it is unconventional and non-conformist just like its drinkers. Wild WEST is a premium lager that finishes with more body and some bitter and yeasty notes.

Keg at West. It pours cloudy orange with a small white head. The nose is musty, farty, barnyard, doughy and light spice. The taste is crisp, bitter, earthy, bready malts, spice, grass and straw with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A touch "rustic" on the aroma, but the taste is decent. Not too shabby.

Hazy golden beer with a white head. Bugger all aroma. Flavour is light, sweet and hoppy. Not much by way of kick but it’s crisp, sweet and drinkable.

Half pint poured from keg at the brewpub. Cloudy golden body, airy white head. Modest smell of sweet wheat mixed with fresh oranges. Smooth tropical fruity flavour, mid-sweet. Subdued bitter ending. Crispy and dry in the mouth. Nice with the food (Glasgow, 13.04.2012).
