Not quite there yet.

Bottle shared with OGJ and JMD at True North, Stavanger, 13.09.18. Translucent orange amber. Small off-white head. Fine aroma and taste of plums, plum stones, corrints, dates and English Christmas cakes - skillfully balanced with bitterness and a hint of bark.

330ml bottle shared with Stuu666. Pours clear golden with a minimal head. Aromas of light minerals and malt. Burton bite on the taste. Not quite metallic, chalky fruit cake. Boozy heat. Not sure I like it. Vacillating between too much and too little happening.

2nd February 2017
Clear amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Light malts, touches of cream and caramel. A light sourish vibe develops, even a trace of gueuze! Touch of white wine. Mild dried fruits and mild spice. Dry finish. Interesting barleywine, seems to have caught a cold but it’s added more than it has taken away.
