Bottle shared at Leightonโs place, 27/06/2016. Many thanks to Leighton for this one. A mahogany brown coloured pour with a loose beige head. Aroma is nutty malts, earthy brown bread, twig, tangy red berry. Flavour is composed of bitter toasted nutty malts, brown bread, hints of liquorice, bitter tangy woodland berries. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation, slightly creamy. Nice.

Bottle thanks to LKS. It pours dark brown with a decent beige head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, brown bread, malt loaf, cocoa, treacle, toast and cereal. The taste is bitter - sweet, malt - driven, toasted grain, earth, wood, leather, toasted nut and cacao nibs with a drying, toasty finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Decent.

Bottle shared in W2 - sourced from Eebria. Pours deep brown with a creamy, tan head. Lightly roasted malts in the nose, toasted biscuits, faint cocoa and caramel. Medium sweet flavour with rich bready malts, more toast, toffee, mild scorched earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, more of the same, toasted biscuit, faint dried fruits. Really enjoyable beer.
