A dash of salt. A touch of tart. That’s what makes this unique German-style wheat beer a seasoned professional at serious summer thirst quenching. With its glowing golden color, peach & citrus nose followed by a prickly mouthfeel that leaves a gentle tartness and a dash of salt on the palate, the Old Pro never fails to bring you back for another sip.

Pours golden with a lacing white head. Aroma of salt, some lactic elements, lightly citrusy nose. Taste has typical pale wheat elements, some mildly lactic notes, mostly smokey. Palate has more smokey notes, little bit of lemon lingers. Good.

12oz can. Earthy, funky, cheesy, true aroma and flavor. Medium bodied, very drinkable, think I could crush the whole 6 pack in two hours. Nothing stupendous, but well executed enough.

Tap. Hazy golden, low white head. Light tart, a bit hayish malt, a hint salt, dry sparkly, a hint spring onion, a hint mushroom in the nose. Quite drinkable.

On tap at Union, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lacto, some coriander, light salt and a bit of vomit. Flavour is less vomit-like, with lacto, some salt, and coriander. Decently made, no nonsense gose.

Can from jcos. Pours a murky yellowish color with a small sheet of white head. Has a clean lacto type aroma. A little sour, hints of soccer, slightly limey. Light and drinkable, light salinity. Coriander comes through on the finish. Nice beer.

Can. Sour milk, lemon, salt, biscuit malt, and straw aroma. Pale yellow with large white head. Sour lemon/pickle/lactic acid, moderately salty, lightly sweet biscuit malt, and lightly bitter straw flavor. Good body. Nice.

Tap @ Assawoman brewpub. Off white, slightly cloudy. Slightly tart. Good bubbly stuff. Slight leather attitude. Yes, pretty good gose but really can’t find any salt in this. Comes across more like a berliner Weiss, and I like that.

12 oz can poured, with thanks to Eugene for the can. After having to call out sick from beer enjoyment the last week, this is quite the refreshing introduction back. Juicy and quite tasty. Cloudy yellow orange pour with a fading rocky foam head. Description nails it, a dash of salt, a touch of tart, as far as both flavor and aroma are concerned. Refreshing and tart. Orange and peach front, with a lingering watermelon like tart finish. Very nice gose here. I could drink this by the drum full.
