Bottle from Great Grog. Hazy ruby/brown body with a short-lived, off-white head. Lively carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of cider, pine, clove and blackcurrant. Flavour of Dr Pepper, sour cherry and warm spices. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. An interesting beer, but it’s a bit on the thin side.

Bottle in Oldmeldrum. It pours clear deep ruby with a small white head. The aroma is rich, sweet ripe cherry, cranberry, festive spice, clove, mulled wine and tang. The taste is drying, earth, bitter, red berry, cherry pie, festive spice, wood, warming character with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Works well.

500ml bottle from Appellation Wines, Dalry Road. Thanks to Ashton McCobb! Pours clear dark brown with red tinges, thin beige head. Aromas of clove, cinnamon, dried fruit. Taste is more of the same. Light sweet finish. Bit heavy on the clove for me, but nice.
