Draught @ The Rover. Pours hazy reddish golden with a small creamy white head that quickly dissipates while leaving some lacing on the glass. Smell is slightly sweet and hoppy fresh with lemon hard candy, grass, lemon zest, caramel, pine and toffee. Taste is sweet and bitter with orange peal, lemon balm, lemon zest, dill, caramel, sweet dark rye bread, toffee and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is round, slightly oily bitter, tiny watery and light to medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with grass, pine, orange peal, aramel and lemon balm.

En uppstickare. Riktigt trevlig, smak och doft av citrus och karamell, mycket, humle och med en betydande och bitande beska.

Re-rate 8/13/13: Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks troubles. Slightly hazy orange. Hoppy aroma of overripe fruits and a bit of flowers. Bitter hoppy flavor with fruits, flowers, piney hints and light malt sweetness. Medium-bodied. Quite nice. 7/3/7/3/14=3.4

[5/9/12] Draught at Ølbaren in Copenhagen. Clear amber. Aroma of slightly weird resinous hops and a bit of graininess. Dry-ish fruity hoppy flavor with a bitter finish. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. 6/3/7/3/13=3.2

On tap at Henrik. Has dark amber colour with a small off-white head. The aroma is pleasant with fruity hops, grapefruit and pine. The flavour is dominated by fruits, berries and some caramel. Has a slick mouth feel, and a medium bitterness. A nice beer with a good hop balance.

02/02/2012 330ml bottle. Ambrata intensa, lievemente torbida, schiuma biancastra, poco abbondante e poco persistente. Aroma agrumatissimo, note erbacee, resina, pigna, pino silvestre e chi più ne ha più ne metta. Una bomba di luppolo. In bocca è molto amara, molto persistente, abbastanza stucchevole a lungo andare. Corpo medio, carbonazione corretta. Questo genere di birre comincia sinceramente a stancarmi.

On tap @ Henrik, Bergen. A light clouded chestnut-brown beer with a thin - almost non existing off-white sidesticking head. Sweet in the aroma with caramel, fruity hops, sweet blue grapes and grape. Softly carbonated with a slick thin-oily mouthfeel. Bitter and hoppy flavors and it has that hint of rye that I have found in other rye-beers. It's hoppy, but for me kinda boring-bitter. Fruity with lots of citrus and kinda grassy towards the finish. Ends mouthdrying. By all means, not horrible but just not completely there for me, and I suspect this could have been a old keg.

Bouteille 500ml. De couleur ambrée-orange et voilée. Nez de houblon citrique (pamplemousse), moyennement floral, légèrement herbeux (herbes fraîches, traces de thé et de menthe) et résineux, fruité (agrumes, notes d’abricots), malté de caramel doux avec des notes de miel et de biscuits. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen-bas et une texture légèrement crémeuse et huileuse. Goût moyennement amer de houblon citrique et floral (une amertume présente toute la gorgée) accompagné d’un moyen goût fruité (agrumes sucrées, très léger d’abricots) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût malté de caramel avec un moyen goût de biscuits ainsi que des traces de pain et de miel puis en finale l’amertume de houblon reprend le dessus en étant herbeux, légèrement résineux et asséchant. Post-goût long et un peu sec, moyen-amer de houblon citrique, résineux, légèrement herbeux et floral avec des notes fruitées (zest d’agrumes).

Pours orange with a medium foamy head. Strong fruity aroma with notes of citrus and pine. Taste is fruity and citrusy with notes of pine. Rye malts don’t really taste. Bitter and fruity finish. Well balanced IPA.
