(Bottle) Golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, woody nose with notes of citrus, peaches, pineapple, oak wood, whisky and a touch of glue. Fruity, woody taste with citrus, peaches, tropical fruit, whisky, oak wood, spices and a mild herbal bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Rich and tasty, but on the woody side. Quite nice.

Old rating - A unusual take on the Golden Ale, with the beer been brewed in whisky casks. I actually really enjoyed this brew, possibly my favourite of the 3 I've tried so far. Different bottle of beer in my home No. 1928

Bottle ordered from some sellers on Amazon. Aroma has dried fruit and booze. Before getting sweeter and fruiter like me on beer. Opaque amber gold. Creamy white head soon recedes. After the decent aroma the flava is I think reminiscent of the other one I had from these guts. Boozy vegetable soup and cardboard. To be fair, it does gathe4 some sugary sweetness. Light bodied. Thin. Fizzy carbonation. Long finish. Saved by the sugariness into the finish. No wonder this lit went bust.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Clear pale bronze colour, small head. Peppery nose with mild smokey whisky. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Fruity and peppery. Highland whisky is distinct. Low bitterness.
