Clocking in at 15-20% ABV, 120 Minute IPA is continuously hopped with a copious amount of high-alpha American hops throughout the boil and whirlpool, and then dry-hopped with another pallet of hops. Unfiltered and abundantly hoppy, it's the Holy Grail for hopheads!
We brew 120 Minute IPA a few times a year, but it goes fast. If you find some grab a few bottles -- some to enjoy and some to age.

Check out our Quick Sip Clip to see Sam talking about 120 Minute IPA. In the video, Sam also shows off some of our vintage pieces of brewing equipment, including our second-generation continuous-hopping device, Sir Hops Alot. He also touches on why we dialed 120 Minute IPA back in ABV, some aging recommendations, and a little lesson on IBU measurement. Enjoy!

Poured from a 12 oz bottle from July, 2011. Aroma is that of an aged barleywine. Very malt forward with fairly strong caramel notes and some lighter toffee and toasted bread. Hints of burnt sugar and roast. Some light raisin, date and fig notes. A light, earthy, herbal resinous hop note. Medium light alcohol notes. Pours a burnt amber, brown color with a medium small, fairly thin, tan head that recedes almost immediately to the edges where it lingers for a short time. No lacing and long legs. Flavor has a moderate sweetness with lots of caramel and toffee notes. Some lighter toasted bread that lingers into the finish as well as some burnt sugar and hints of chocolate. Strong bitterness with a medium light herbal, grassy and resinous hop note that has some hints of pine. Medium alcohol spice in the finish with lingering toasted bread notes and herbal, resinous hop notes. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and moderate to moderately high alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright beer but this really isn’t my thing. Its sweet upfront, but the bitterness is too high, even after all these years. While the hops have faded quite a bit they are still their in the finish, and in my mind they clash with the malt notes.

Trübes orange goldenes Bier mit einer geringen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch nach reifen Früchten, Obst, sehr hopfig, leicht harzig, oxidiert, alkoholisch. Geschmack intensiv fruchtig, sehr hopfig, süß, Aprikosen.

Bottle, shared with Albert. Pours a clear gold color, with a small, beige head. Vanilla and tangerines, with some syrup, butterscotch, and pine. Sweet and boozy, with a pretty strong bitterness. Heavy body, smooth, and a bit astringent. This is a solid, boozy, malty beer. Quite tasty.

Shared 12 oz. bottle. Pours copper-amber, hazy. White head. Aroma of citrus and caramel. Taste is a little citrus, a little caramel, and booze. Lots of booze. Sweet with an intense alcohol-laden finish. Definitely warms the belly. Nice to try but probably wouldn’t purchase again.

Bottle. A triple IPA to define standards. Intense pine aroma. Mouth is ultra heavy, thick, sticky, sweet. Pineapple, for sure and for real. Boozy, but not nearly as expected for 18% ABV. Feels like the tongue sticks to the roof of the mouth after swallowing. Ultra long super sweet finish with lots of pineapple again. A revelation indeed.
