Clocking in at 15-20% ABV, 120 Minute IPA is continuously hopped with a copious amount of high-alpha American hops throughout the boil and whirlpool, and then dry-hopped with another pallet of hops. Unfiltered and abundantly hoppy, it's the Holy Grail for hopheads!
We brew 120 Minute IPA a few times a year, but it goes fast. If you find some grab a few bottles -- some to enjoy and some to age.

In the video, Sam also shows off some of our vintage pieces of brewing equipment, including our second-generation continuous-hopping device, Sir Hops Alot. He also touches on why we dialed 120 Minute IPA back in ABV, some aging recommendations, and a little lesson on IBU measurement. Enjoy!

My 100th Imperial IPA rating. Bottle. Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is caramel, very hoppy, canned peach, pineapples, and such. Taste is pineapples, very sweet, but very fresh at the same time, huge malt body. Medium carbonation, oily mouthfeel. I usually don?t like this amount of sweetness, but for 18 ABV, this is extremely well-balanced. In terms of ABV hiding, this is a brewing masterpiece.

Tap into a snifter showing caramel brown with no head. The nose shows extremely concentrated hops that actually seems more like heavy notes of burnt malt. The palate is full bodied with no carbonation with intense hops and heavy malts. 2017 tasted in Feb 2019 Thanks Gregg for sharing the bottle! Poured into a taster showing pale gold with no head. The nose shows light hops but mostly a strong malty forwardness. The palate shows lightly carbonated and medium bodied. Malt forward and sweet but balanced with a distorted hoppiness. 2015 bottle tasted on Feb 2019 Poured into a taster showing amber with no head. The nose shows a lot of malt. Very malty. The palate shows barely any carbonation and full bodied. Moderately sweet caramel throughout, barely any hop character.

Finally got to taste this legend at BeerTemple in Amsterdam (where it is as heavily priced as it is hopped). Lightly lacing, stable, off-white, moussy head on a deep orange golden beer with no visible fizz. Evidently strong aroma of Grand Marnier, marmelade, mango, whisky, nail polish, methylated spirit, strawberry wine, candied banana - alcohol overpowering the hops but enhancing their orange-like qualities at the same time. Intense flavor of strong candied orange and orange liqueur, some underlying sourishness but sweetness dominating, thick oily mouthfeel, soft carbo, honeyish and biscuity malt sweetness, long finish with a lot of peppery and orangey hop bitterness but still it is the liqueurish sweetness which prevails, along with a hefty dosis of intense, burning, peppery, brandy-like alcohol. I donβt get this, I liked the 90 Minute a lot, but this to me is just over the top, way too boozy to be enjoyable at least to my personal taste. Glad I had it, though.

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy dark amber with moderate head. Aromas of toffee, doughy bread, and wet toasted malts with a little spice hanging around. Flavours follow same - big chewy malts - with peppery alcohol and spicy fruit. Hoppy? I donβt know... 18%? Jesus....

Shared a 12oz bottle on 5/1/16. Bottled 7/2/13. Bottle held carbonation well. Thick, dark gold color. Slight head. The high ABV is ever present, but not overpowering. Iβve had more boozy beers with 10-12%ABV. Sweet, malty taste with barley wine-like characteristics--sherry port, figs. Mildly bitter, complex finish.

12 ounce bottle into signature tulip glass, bottled on 2/28/2013. Pours very hazy deep orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, lemon peel, pineapple, tangerine, peach, mango, citrus rind, pine, caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, lemon peel, pineapple, tangerine, peach, mango, citrus rind, pine, caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon peel/rind, pine, caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Good amount of dryness from bitterness and spicy alcohol on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth, moderately crisp/sticky, and lightly creamy/slick mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with a light-moderate warmth lingering after the finish with zero booziness. Overall this is an outstanding DIPA, especially considering the ABV. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate malt flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the huge ABV. Extremely surprised and impressed with this vintage, as there is still a ton of hop complexity present and it does not feel overly heavy or malty at all; even after being nearly 3 years old. Other vintages I have had at similar age have been much sweeter and a bit cloying. A highly enjoyable offering.

Kind of messy, but then this is three years aged and without any of the fresh hops a 120 minute ipa should have. Pours amber with OK head. Lots of malt and booze. Bittersweet finish. Bottle pour from 2012 at Churchkey.
