Bottle thanks to McNeillR. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - citrus and nuts. Sweet malt. Taste - black smokiness going on. Charcoal. A bit astringent though. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - a bit too bitter but not bad.

God knows what happened to my rating of this.... Bottle thanks to Finn & Rune. It poured jet black with a decent light tan head. The nose is bitter - sweet, rich roasted malts, earthy, umami and liquorice. The taste is pretty similar to the aroma, roasted malt, earthy, bitter - sweet, umami, sour mash, touch of dark fruits, liquorice and cacao nibs with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Good body and well-rounded. A good dark lagerbier.

Lite variasjon - men god.

330ml bottle bought at Piccadilly Tap and shared with Finn on the train to Hull. Lacing rings from a low tan-coloured head. Deep black body. Roasted nose, hints of dark chocolate. Similar taste of roasted black malts with chocolate and coffee. Dark fruity hints to the ending, semi-dry. Fine bodied. Likable (23.11.2015).
