Bottle from Aldi, Inverurie. It pours clear yellow - gold with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, quite juicy, tropical fruits, lemonade and biscuit. The taste is crisp, clean, pithy, zesty, lemon, slightly soapy, biscuit, straw, grass and lemonade with a drying finish. Light - medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty well rounded and chuggable. Decent.

Keg at the Red Squirrel. Pours hazy pale yellow gold with a thin white head. Aromas of lemon, citrus, faint sherbet. Taste is light sweet, with a lemon bitterness. Crisp finish.

Thanks to Craig and James for putting this on as I’d had it 3 weeks previously in the Inn At at the Loch near Loch Lomond. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Nose - tonnes of orange and grapefruit. Taste - more of the same. Very New World indeed. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - the most modern ipa style I’ve had from Loch Lomond. Great.

Cask at The Stockbridge Tap. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Good lacing. Aroma of straw, melon and a hint of smoke. Flavour of rust, sweet malts and pear. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture. Soft carbonation prickle. Unusual and subtle.
