Night Stalker, as an homage to the Chicago-based television show. Night Stalker is a jet black, dry hopped Imperial Stout, extremely rich and full flavored with malt and chocolate followed by a bright dry hopped aroma. It is the same base as our Bourbon County Stout, but instead of aging in Bourbon barrels, we dry hop it like madmen.

Bomber received in trade. Thank you rfraga7. Pours black with a rather small frothy dark brown head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace in the glass. Smell is sweet with roasted malts, sweetened dark roast coffee, mineral rich dark soil, orange zest, alcohol, raisins, dark chocolate, grass, salty liquorice, leather and lemon zest. Taste is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, dark grape syrup, dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, prunes, raisins, salty liquorice candy, pine needles, orange zest, alcohol, sweet soy sauce and hints of lemon grass. Mouthfeel is round, tiny boozy, very tiny astringent and medium bot ful, bodied. Finish is sweet, bitter and malty with roasted malts, sweet liquorice candy, bitter chocolate, dark roast coffee, pine needles, lemon zest, alcohol, prunes, raisins, mineral rich moist soil and resinous wood. Very solid!

2010 Vintage. Enjoyed at 45 Degrees in a wine goblet and allowed to warm up. Thanks Ryan for sending this to me back in January.
A - Poured a viscous pitch black. No head at all.
S - I can smell bourbon from many feet away. Always nice. The bourbon dominates the nose followed by hints of chocolate.
T - Well, this is unexpected. Big boozy taste up front followed by this mild bitterness and hints of coffee. Finish is roasted almonds and chocolate. I’m getting some herbal notes. Loving the nutty chocolate notes at the finish.
M - Very minimal carbonation on the swish. Extremely heavy body and a beer for stout lovers.
O - It’s no Bourbon County It lacks that extra boozy heat you’d expect. But, tis’ a very smooth and enjoyable stout. It’s a shame that this won’t be made again.

Opaque, blakc liquid with small tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, molasses, cocoa, vanilla, kladdkaka, biscuity malt and some booze. Taste is light sweet with medium bitterness and notes of licorice, deep dark chocolate and fresh coffee. Full bodied with soft carbonation and sticky, sugary mouthfeel. Really nice with lots of chocolate, like drinking a dessert.

Small brown head. Opaque black body. Raisiny fruity alcoholic aroma with plummy chocolatey notes. Dry-sweet (and faintly acidic) roasty chocolatey earthy taste with alcoholic raisiny hoppy notes. Full-bodied. Hottish, mild, round mouthfeel. Dryish resiny chocolate and earth aftertaste with honeyish plastic and coffee notes. Excellent! A real winner. (0.65l bottle, from Høkeren, Copenhagen. Cellared for 12 months.)
