Our first beer out of our new brewery is a homage to our building's former life as a Toaster Pastry factory. Biscuit malts give the beer a slightly nutty, crust-like flavor, complementing the fruity, jammy character of the hops. The toasty-sweet aroma, balanced by a bite of hops, makes this one of our favorite brews yet

Tall boy. Poured red brown. Serious malts and sweetness and some citrus hops. Worked very well together.

Can from Sterk Amsterdam, way too old. Aroma is biscuity malt with caramel, resinous hops, pine resin, spruce, hint of fruits. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and fairly bitter with a long bittersweet finish. Body is above medium. I should try this fresh one day, even in less than optimal condition this is pretty good with lots of sticky pine resin and caramel malt.

The aromas are a hoppy, slightly toasty malty Red Ale. Flavors are pretty much exactly like nose. I would have thought with the name like that, it would have tasted a little sweeter and there is a hint of Sweetness in there but bitter dominates heavily. Not a bad beer but nothing like its name.

Pretty damn fascinating pint, a mix of West Coast IPA hoppy vitriol with a Colorado-style nutty biscuit base. Berry-citrus hops meld nicely with the toasted breadiness from the malts, underlined by caramel, pine, and resin. Pours a gorgeous amber-orange with a lasting beige head and good lacing. Nose is nuts, pine, berry and a hint of cocoa. Just a neat beer, and I'm really fucking relieved it wasn't brewed with actual Pop Tarts.

Can. Pours a clear amber orange with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grains with a bit of grass and hay supporting. Flavor has earthy grains and pine with some grass and a bit of hay backing.

Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured an orange-white color with a large soapy orange-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was bitter with leafy piney hops and crystal malt. The flavor was bitter with fruity hops, pine, caramel and crystal malt. Long hoppy finish. Medium body. Meh.

Can from New Beer Distributors, Manhattan, New York, USA. An amber/red coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Hoppy, malty, fruity, caramel aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, malty, caramel and a definite strawberry note in there. I rather enjoyed this offering from 21st Amendment, wish I’d bought more back across the pond.

Tap atbStags Head not many ticks on tap today. Dirty brownish red foamy head. Nose is strawberry and sweet malt. Tastes of strawberry, other berry, malt, fruit punch, some biscuits. I get the whole toaster pasty thing but not something I eat regularity or particularly want in a beer.
