Taking our inspiration from autumn in New England, where pumpkin ales are fall favorites, we brew this saison with real pumpkin and classic fall spices. The real pumpkin creates a rich depth of flavor that is complemented by the spicy clove character of the saison yeast. The traditional pumpkin pie spices add layers of warm spice notes.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent gold with a slight off-white head. Pie spice aromas, but there’s something else that’s fairly strong. Med body or so. Flavor is mostly pie spice, maybe nicely heavy on ginger. There’s something veg - so apparently real squash here. Finishes sort of nutmeg. Not bitter, but fairly dry. The spice colonizes the mouth.

Bottle. Lactic pumpkin malt, ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Lightly sweet ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel malt, and mildly bitter herbal flavor. Body a bit light. Nice balance.

12 oz bottle, thanks Anderson01. Aroma consists of wet dog, metal, earth, smoke, clove, lemon, nutmeg. Pours hazy gold with a medium bone white head with decent retention. Taste is better than the aroma, lightly sweet and finishing with a dry leafy hoppy bitterness. Taste is as described, Belgian yeasty saison with pumpkin pie spices added; also some lotion, smoke, earth. Weird off-putting aroma and the flavor isn’t too bad. Weird beer.

Pumpkin, malt, allspice and nutmeg nose, all very subdued. Clear amber, thin head, minimal lacing. Nutmeg is dominant, my least favorite pumpkin spice. Clove and chai spices in the finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation. I don’t care for the spice combination and I’m hard to please when it comes to pumpkin or spice beers.
