Bottle. Deep gold in colour, with a slight white head. Some citrus fruits, crisp malts, leafy hops and a dryish finish. Good.

Bottle. Clear golden/amber body with a thin white head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of stewed tea and tinned orange. Flavour of grapefruit and a bitter tea finish. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. It’s a bit sharper and paler than I had hoped but overall it’s a tasty beer.

Clear amber beer, no head. Bitter citric aroma, taste is dry and bitter with a slightly chemical-y aftertaste. Tart and grapefruity but the aftertaste is a bit unfortunate.

Cask at City Arms Cardiff. Clear dark golden coloured, small to medium sized off-white head, mild grainy nose. Sweetish malty, light grainy, mild caramel and some weak citrusy (orange) hoppy with some sweetness in the finish. Hmmm, not the best around.

Cask at PoW Aberdeen. It pours clear amber with a foamy white head. The aroma is fresh, fragrant, resin, pine, zesty grapefruit, pomello and brown bread. The taste is pretty bitter, pine, resinous, grapefruit, lemon peel, peppery spice, brown bread and a touch of toffee. Finish is firmly dry. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty flavoursome and balanced. Decent gear.
