Bottle, exclusive to Oddbins. 6 additions of the noble hop Hallertauer Mittelfruh. An alluring beer where aromas and flavours of lemon, citrus and subtle breadiness marry with coriander and floral notes to create the perfect balance between malt, yeast and hops. This is Oddbins No. 6 inspired by Belgian beeer, brewed in Scotland and soon to be loved the country over.

Bottle at home in London - picked up from Oddbins Pimlico. Pours faintly hazy gold with a rich, frothy pure white head. Mellow Belgian yeast in the aroma, some orange rind, pale malts, straw. Light to medium sweet flavour with ample dried out sourdough bread, lots of bitter citrus rind, faint pine needles, restrained phenolics, husky grains, grass. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Finishes with subtle Belgian yeast phenolic notes, husky grains, lemon peel, dried dough, biscuits, peach. Pretty good stuff overall. Nicely rounded, and well layered. Solid.

Bottle on the train to Simon 47574’s stag do, 04/03/16. Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is citric peel, light spice, clove, toasted bread, grain, yeast esters. Taste comprises lemon rind, floral hop trace, orange pith, straw, grain, crackers, Belgian yeast esters, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a leafy hop tingle. Decent enough Belgoo affair.

Bottle from Oddbins of course. Appearance - cloudy golden amber with a generous fluffy head. Nose - light spice and yoghurt. Taste - dried orange and more light spice. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - very dry, but it certainly typifies the style.
