Cask at Flowerpot, Derby - @5%. Pours almost black with minimal cream head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly blackcurrant, but with some hints of malts. In the mouth it is sweet and slightly watery. Flavour is predominantly liquorice together with roasted malts and what I would call (if I didn’t know better) “dark fruits” i.e. blackcurrant. Finish is mainly about blackcurrant. Rather nice this one.

Cask at 2015 Birmingham Beer Festival; dark coca cola pour with a bubbly light tan head, aroma has anise and dark chocolate, taste has liquorice, burnt malts, ok.

Cask at the Green Duck brewery, Stourbridge Pours black with a medium head. Aroma is heavy liquorice and light blackcurrant. Taste has liquorice to start and liquorice and blackcurrant to finish.
