Bottle shared at THT. Clear golden with no head. Aroma of floral honey, overripe dark fruit, figs and marzipan, almost Christmas pudding. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet. Above medium bodied apt soft carbonation. [26-08-2016]

500ml bottle, thanks Jan! Pours yellowish golden with a tiny head. Aroma of vanilla, toffee, apple pie, cinnamon and spices. Taste is super sweet, sugary and heavy with vanilla, toffee, honey, apple pie and cinnamon. Finish is sweet, sugary and heavy with cinnamon, vanilla, toffee and honey. Sweet.

Bottle from Perrys. It pours a still yellow color. The aroma is nice cinnamon and apple with some white wine-like acidity and alcohol. The flavor is sweet and apply with more of the smooth vinous alcohol. The honey is really only tasted in the sweetness. The body is full and oily with most of the flavors disappearing quickly in the finish. Pleasant and tasty but ultimately a bit disappointing.

Clear nice rich golden with no head. Aroma is apples & vanilla, medium body, no carbonation, and no lacing. Taste is sweet apples, cinnamon, some vanilla, and hints of alcohol. Alcohol is pretty well covered for a mead, really good.

Synthetic corked bottle from Beer Junction, Seattle
Measured Final Gravity: 1036
Sweet and elegant; smooth; this mead is true to its name, an apple pie with cinnamon, but there is no exaggeration in the usage of the spice; balanced; very pleasant.

375mL bottle, pours a clear pale golden with a few bubbles head. Nose smells like a fresh sweet apple pie, with cinnamon, vanilla, and medium honey sweetness. Flavour brings out a lot more cinnamon upfront than on the nose, with secondary notes of vanilla and medium sweet apples. Just like an alcoholized, decadent apple pie. Complex and balanced. Excellent.
