Pigs Ear Day 4. Cask. Clear deep red - amber beer, good bubbly pale tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry. Modest fine carbonation. A mild tang on the dark malts. Touches of dark chocolate and cocoa powder. Mild floral bitterness. Light tangy finish leaves a mild bitter linger. Not too much coconut in this underwhelming beer.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2015 - London. Pours clear brown with red highlights and a frothy, tan head. Faint roast in the nose, some cocoa and earth. Light sweet flavour with a cutting minerality, faint chocolate, bitter earth. Light bodied with fine carbonation; so so condition. Dry finish with more earth and flinty minerals. No coconut at all. Rather poor.

Gravity dispense at Pigs Ear ’15, 04/12/15. Mahogany brown with a decent beige covering of bubbles. Nose is dark malts, fruit rind, light cocoa powder. Taste comprises light charr, faint cocoa, cardboard, trace of coconut. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, drying close. Pretty mediocre, thin and lacking depth to the flavours.
