Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a pitch black with a brownish cola-like head that dissipates in no time. Hard roast nose, bt also, dark dried fruits, cocoa and coffee. Solid body, carbonation is low, lots of cocoa and some sweet roast. Sweet pruney notes. Warming alcohol finish. A fairly sweet creation - for sippin’ I’d say. 010411

Bottle in Ibis Kortrijk. Black thin tan collar. Tarry impy choc stout. Tasty creamy dark choc. Some heat on finish. love the choc. Maybe not the best but tasty enough.

I’ve tasted 2 of these. 1/ Dark rich full textured, toasted coconut with massive structure, depth and length. Score around 4. 2/ Big but a bit of a rough diamond, possibly signs of oxidation but can’t confirm if this is the case but whatever there is an imbalance. Score around 3. So, something not consistent and I might have to try a 3rd one.

On tap at Brewdog bar, Aberdeen. Pours jet black with a thin tan head. The nose has a lot of soy up front (which I find quite off-putting), rich roasted coffee, cocoa, caramel, burnt sugar, charcoal, liquorice and sesame seeds. The taste is initially sweet; caramel, cola, cherry and finishes savoury; roasted coffee, liquorice, cocoa, sesame oil, smokey and toast. It’s most definitely a sipper with a syrupy mouth-feel and fairly intense sweetness. Drinks like Tokyo* and seems to be lacking in any coconut.
