A ridiculously dense and dark tan head on a near black body. The nose is solid with roasted malt, dark chocolate and some hop bitterness. The heavily roasted malt leads the taste profile with slightly bitter coffee, cocao, dark toffee or molasses, and ample hop bitterness working well together. A complimentary sweetness from a dark berry presence rounds out a great stout which verges on a black IPA. Slightly slick and sticky in the mouth. Above average viscosity. Plays like a 10% imperial without the booze. I'm buyin' more.

473mL can. Pours black with a thin tan head. Lots of rye malts and smoke on the nose. Flavour has a bitter rye malt profile, a bit of a piney bite, nice smokey lacing. Mouthfeel is thick and chewy. Good body and rich palate. Very nice.

Bottle from the lcbo. Jet black, oily, sticky pour, with a large dark brown head. Aroma is incredibly roasty, lots of pine and soy with burnt coffee, and some booze. Oily, thick, yet soft mouth feel with a soft carb. The finish is very bitter, lots of pine resins and some solid spicy notes. The rye isn't way out there but enough to make it interesting.

Sort med brun, høy, lett boblete topp som daler sakte. Aroma; Sjokolade, malt, kaffe, karamell, eik, Lakris. Smak; malt, lakris, kaffe, toffee, vanilje, bjørnebær. Fyldig. Balansert. Smaksrik. Lett syrlig, svakt bitter. Delt med Leif. Gave fra Djoeye.

Draught @ SKAAL Sønderborg. Pours hazy very dark brown with airy dark tan head. Clear aroma of malt, chocolate, and yeast. Bitter, roasty and hoppy flavour with notes of rye and caramel, and touches of liquorice and yeast. Roasty aftertaste with estery and malty touches. A very nice, well-balanced, and tasty stout. Good work, Amager!

Dark brown. Medium head. A metric fuckton of rye on this...so chewy. Nice chocolate for balance, hit of alcohol, but wow this is about as rye-forward as any beer I've had. Big bitterness, chewy as fuck, decent sugars, drinks like a stout more in the 12-13% range.

Almost black beer with a beige head. Aroma of roasted dark malt, chocolate, melasse, caramel. Taste of roasted dark malt, chocolate, bitter coffee beans, long roasted bitter finish.

Black with thin dark cream head. This one has layers of rye bread and coffee. Nicely bitter and roasted.

Poured from 440mL can (batch 2854; bb 01/2026). Near black with tan head. Roast and rye malt, some chocolate and mild tropical hops. Quite nice.
