Lovely stout, boozy. Silky texture, almost ryey. Plenty of barrel adds nicely without breaking balance.
17/12/22: Best before 12/21. Rusty cap, small hiss. Pours black, flat. Smell is bourbon, some roast, bit of sweetness. Fairly thick body, smooth, completely flat. Taste is surprisingly nice. Roasty, bitter, lots of coffee, and soft bourbon. Held up very well!

33cl Bottle from hetbiermoment.nl. Black colour, no head. Aroma of lots of barrel, bourbon, vanilla, alcohol, treacle, liquorice, roast. Flavour follows, quite ashy and bitter as well, lots of booze, but very tasty. Medium bodied, flat.

Sampled from bottle at Murphy’s Law courtesy of Scotty001! Black with thin tan head. Big deep roasted malts, boozy bourbon notes, chocolate malts, vanilla, molasses, charcoal. Over medium sweet and medium bitter. Thin feel but still dense in texture. Boozy and bittersweet roasty in the finish.

Bottle shared st Murphy Law thanks to Scotty001. Very dark brown with no real head just some big bubbles. Lots of bourbon, chocolate, light coffee, red berries, cognac, smoke, some dried meat and sour sauce. Over medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with watery and boozy feel. Would be great if it had a ticker body and feel.

Bottle. Black oily pour. Delicious aroma of bourbon vanilla, red fruit, oak, chocolate and cream. Taste has boozy red fruit, rich vanilla, bitter malt, chocolate, oak and a bourbony finish. Not very subtle. Some age might improve it, but already very tasty as it is.

On tap at Murphy’s Law, The Hague. Pitch black pour with no head. Notes of bourbon, oak, vanilla, dark chocolate, dark cherries, smoke and whiskey. Medium body, very low carbonation and a sweet and alcoholic finish. 3.7/5 1 year old bottle sampled at home. Pitch black pour with a very thin coarse-grained tan head. From the aroma, I am guessing this has developed a bit since last I tried it - still tons of bourbon, but not too boozy, with additional vanilla, oak, wood, chocolate, roasted malts. The taste is also muuuuch mellower than before, with bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, roasted coffee, light sherry, chery bitterness, light smoke, whiskey. I should drink all od Kees’ barrel-aged beers after they sit at least one year in my cellar, I think - I remember quite a few of them having an "unfinished" feel to them and am not wondering how they would have developed.

Billynomates solo hotel tasting. Opaque dark brown beer, decent tan head. Fruity bourbon nose. Palate is light, mildy dry and has low carbonation. Smooth dark malts with sweetish dark chocolate. Mild bitterish wood provides contrast. Good fruity bourbon and mild spice. More dark chocolate and a little vanilla. Spicy dark fruits. Soft finish. Rich and tasty but also carrying a streak of emulsion paint that quite a few ba beers seem to suffer from.
