Cask at the Moon under water Watford Jdw. Serious Irish ale tick! Orange / amber coloured pour with a lasting thin greyish head. Aroma is red berries, tart plum, little alcohol. Flavour is raspberry coulee, sweet cherry, semi sweet malts, fairly clean ferment. Palate is semi sweet with lowish carbonation. More like a fruit beer.

Cask at the Queens’ Hotel (JDW), Aldershot. Reddish copper in colour with a tight cream head; floral aroma; sweet blackcurrant taste with a smooth grainy body and a touch of lime; before a smooth, dry, warming finish. Excellent, the best I tried so far in this Spoonsfest - but then I do have a weak spot for blackcurrant.
