Smokey Victorian Porter. A blend of seven malts give this dark brown ale a delicious balance of malty, chocolate sweetness and fragrant, bitter smokiness. Subtle grassy hop notes add the finishing touch to a lovely winter warmer.

Two cask half-pints, hand pulled in The Bridge End Inn, Ruabon, Wales on 22nd Sep 2015. Really enjoyed this, hence the two halves. Black bodied with a good, solid tanned foam blanket on top. Malts, lightly roasted and singed around the edges. Just seemed to flow right, lovely texture, flavour and aromas. Best beer of the five I tried during a mini session before watching Grimsby Town play at Wrexham (0-0).

Manchester Beer Festival 2015. Almost black with a frothy off-white head. Has a full roasted malt aroma and taste with some notes that produce a hint of bacon.
