Hand Bottle shared thanks to the Brewers. Black with a short lived brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, cherry, licorice, roast notes and toffee. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with a moderate thick texture, alcohol warmth in the finish and light carbonation.

Sampled from tap at NBF Delft 2016. Pitch black with a light brown head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, licorice and Kirschwasser. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and some Kirschwasser, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, rather boozy finish. Medium to full body, slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay, but too alcoholic, the least persuading of the three variants I’ve had.
