Bottle thanks to Mhairi. Appearance - golden amber with a nice fluffy head. Nose - caramel shortbread, with a hint of orange/apricot. Taste - more of the same, biscuits dominate any fruitiness from the hops. Palate - close to medium bodied, creamy and crunchy. Overall - I expected the malt to be less dominant relative to the hops. It's ok.

Keg at the Royal Dick. It pours clear golden with a thick, foamy white head. The aroma is fairly clean, grassy, green, herbal, straw, fennel and sherbet. The taste is dry, bitter, straw, grassy, herbal sorachi, fennel, aloe vera, touch of citrus and straw with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Fairly so-so, but I have had worse sorachi ace beers.

Keg at The Pitt and can from Great Grog. Hazy golden body with a medium white head. Lively carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of Refreshers, vanilla, dried coconut and straw. Flavour of lemongrass, chalky lemon, grapefruit and crushed aspirin. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Nicely put together and a fairly mild example of the Sorachi Ace hop.

33cl bottle from Beers52.com. A hazy pale amber pour with a billowing cream head; aroma of toasted grains; creamy texture and a sweet taste with that marmite-like savouriness I associate with Sorachi hops; and a slightly rasping bitterness leading to a sweet finish. Not bad.
