On cask at the Guildford Arms. Appearance - deep amber with a decent head. Nose - a little elusive but I detect some caramel. Taste - a bit like muesli. Elements of dried fruit popping out amongst the oatmeal. Palate - light to medium bodied with a crunchy texture and a long dry crunchy finish. Overall - it’s fine. Not sure which style it’s going for though.

Bottle thanks to BenH. It pours murky deep red-brown with a small beige head. The nose is rich, brown bread, fruit, caramel, fruit cake, candy, brioche and a touch of spice. The taste is bitter, earthy, fruit caked, raisin, sultana, spice, wood, resin, fig, date, pepper and warming booze with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Easy going given the abv. Alright.

Bottle shared at the Kernel - thanks to Ben. Pours hazy golden-brown with a creamy off-white head. The nose holds some tangy berries, wood, leaves. Medium sweet flavor with bready malts, nips of maple and toffee, some dried fruits. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Decent balance on the finish with further bready mals, lightly tangy and leathery fruits, toffee, slight leafy bitterness. Not bad.
