A deep golden ale, brewed by golems who can resist the temptations of its strength. Matured in oaken casks used for aging Jimkin Bearhugger’s finest dram.
The purest mountain spring water is shipped in from Llamedos and blended with floor malted barley, just a dash of black malt and a blend of Progress and Pilgrim (hops rather than travellers).
The long oak aging imparts vanilla notes to the aroma, and the residual spirit lends a hefty kick to this splendid ale.

Bottled. Slightly hazy pale amber colour with a small foamy off-white head. Aroma is some bready and grainy notes along with grass, hay and mild floral notes. Flavour is very similar, with not too much bitter notes. Mild cooked vegetably notes as well as some wood.

330ml bottle. Moderately cloudy, dark amber colour with small to average, thick, creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Weak malty aroma with a touch of toffee, a very cautious touch of peach. Taste is quite neutral, minimally bitter hoppy, minimally soapy, malty basis is nothing more than pure substance. Irrelevant.

330ml bottle, out-of-date freebie from Ales by Mail. Pours murky amber with minimal off-white head. Unclear aroma. Didn’t know what to expect from the bizarre deScription. Taste is neither here nor there. Vague malt, the slightest sweet hint. Definitely past its best.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours clear gold with a white head. Aromas of caramel, light hop. Taste is sweet. Finishes sweet. Ok.

Lightly hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and dry, mild fine carbonation. Thin malts. A weird sweet and sour tang. Dusty mid. Light bitterness, slightly woody, before the dry finish. Mild bitter linger. Weird and a bit rubbish to be frank.
