A deep golden ale, brewed by golems who can resist the temptations of its strength. Matured in oaken casks used for aging Jimkin Bearhugger’s finest dram.
The purest mountain spring water is shipped in from Llamedos and blended with floor malted barley, just a dash of black malt and a blend of Progress and Pilgrim (hops rather than travellers).
The long oak aging imparts vanilla notes to the aroma, and the residual spirit lends a hefty kick to this splendid ale.

Bottle shared in London - picked up from a bottle shop. Pours clear orange-gold with a rich, creamy off-white head. Lightly sweet flavour, rounded pale malts, subtle citrus fruits, light dried citrus rind. Light to medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Semi-sweet finish, more pale bread and citrus accents. So so.

Bottled. A hazy red beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, spices, fruits, and brett. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, spices, hops, and brettanomyces, leading to a dry finish. A bit sharp for my taste.

Bottle, gift from Jim- Cheers! Dusky amber, no head, pretty flat. Cabbagey with caramel and dust. Very watery yet slightly dry. No sign of the claimed barrel-aging. No sign of the claimed 6%+ ABV. Barely any sign that this is actually beer. Dismal, although on the plus side still better than the Badger Blandford Fly I’d had just before.

Completely destroyed. Infected and flat. Undrinkable.
Murky golden color with no head. Bready and yeast in the aroma. Medium (+) body and a flat carbonation. Sweet and acidic. Hard to describe this stuff. Infected, bready, malty and fruity. Horrible.
