It was brewed for good folks with calluses on their hands, doing work that needed to be done. We salute those working-class heroes with our classic Porter, brewed in the hop-forward American style and featuring a depth of malt flavor and complexity with roasted notes of black coffee and cocoa.

On draft at the source. Reddish brown. 1 finger tan head. Cold brew coffee aroma. Hershey chocolate. Taste is. Well. It’s very thin. Fleeting flavor. Cocoa is there. A little maple and bark. Weak offering.

Bottle. Dark brown colour, some floaties, low short lasting head. Aroma moderately hoppy, resiny and grassy. Also almost moderately malty with mostly coffeeish roast. Moderate fruity esters from the fermentation. Taste is well balanced. Moderate bitterness, mostly coming from hops. Roastiness kept below medium, but still noticeable. Moderate sweetness with notes of dried fruits, general yeasty fruitiness. Finish is balanced, moreish. Light to moderate hops flavour, resiny, grassy. Light heavy body, a very light alcoholic warmth - pleasant level. Overall very drinkable, yet intense and rich. Moderate carbonation. Excellent.

Hatalmas, tömör, tartós hab, fekete szín. Pörkölt malátás, édes-savanykás illat. Feketecsokis, pörkölt malátás ízek, pici savanyúval. Utóíze nem túl markáns pörkölt malátás, de sokáig tart. Jól kiegyensúlyozott sör, típusának mintadarabja. Közepesen testes.

Deep dark brown colour with a red hue, good two finger frothy beige head, half-way lasting, fair lacing. Aroma roasted malts, cocoa, coffee, brown sugar. Taste medium sweet and bitter, sweet and roasted malts, some toffee, dark chocolate, light spicy notes, average to long duration. Mild roasty bittersweet finish, chocolate and light spicy notes, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, subtle, smooth and easy to drink.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 20A). Bottle 35 cl - Batch unknown. AROMA: balanced roasted aroma with a moderate floral-like hop aroma. the roast malt takes on a dar-sweet chocolate note. APPEARANCE: very dark brown color and translucent with ruby body against light. large tanned head with moderate to good retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with a blend of moderate roasted malt (dark chocolate) and floral to fruity hops. Medium-low to low bitterness with a semi-dry and roasted finish with a faint bitterness from hops and roasted malts. the roasted flavor and hops are in balance. PALATE: medium body with a slight texture. medium-high carbonation. very faint astringency from dark malts. OVERALL: an american porter with balance between roasted malt and hops, giving it a good flacor and aroma profile. it would improve with mode bitterness.

36,5cl bottle @home, shared with a friend. Pours opaque black with small fairly lasting creamy off-white head. Medium body, smooth texture, lively carbonation, fair lacing, dry bitter-sour finish, sour aftertaste. Aromas of roasted barley, coffee, toffee, chocolate, smoothly balanced by citrus hops, complimented by sour fruit finish like raspberries or similar berries. Smooth notes of pepper, smoke. Rich, complex, balanced, enjoyable.
