Our Pilsner lager is traditionally brewed using Saaz hops for a refreshingly continental flavor. It is cold-fermented for an extended period before conditioning with additional hops. We aim to hold this lager below freezing for a minimum of six weeks.

23rd Feb 2015. Bottle, 500ml: at home, shared with no one. Poured into a UK pint sleeve. Golden hue to the body, on top a full white head, plenty of carbonation bubbles rising through the almost clear beer. Sweet and grainy nose and taste with a hop backdrop that comes bitter towards the finish. Toffee esters appear as the beer warms in the glass and the beer begins to become more interesting as the chilling departs. The beer grew on me as it warmed: rare for a lager/pilsner styled beer in my eyes.

Bottle from Booths, Media City. Slightly hazy mid-yellow coloured ale with a thin head. Generally has a malt-hop character but with a lemon citrus hop evident in the background.
