Cask. Amber colour, mediumsized foamy slightly off-white head that leaves some lace and settle into a thin creamy off-white head. Aroma is citrus, wood, quite rich on the maltyness and also has some slight herbal notes to it. Flavour is quite similar along with mild chocolate, some nutty as well as slight toasted notes. Pleasant session beer.

Cask-conditioned at the Lord Moon of the Mall (JDW), London 15/10/10. Amber coloured with a slight white head. Sweetish, caramel and citrus aroma. Flavour had some fruit, more sweet malts and moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Poured amber with loose white head; some fresh English hops in the aroma; solidly bitter flavour with some solid malts and some caramel; then an uncompromisingly bitter finish. I liked this - bitterer than the average bitter.

Cask handpull at The Society Rooms, JDW, Maidstone. Copper colour, slight haze, thick lasting off white head. Some odd slightly empty hop. Good biscuit. Touch of green apple beer and maybe not ready yet. Touch tight on the tongue too.
