Cask at Port Street Beer House, Manchester. Clear, golden colour. Thin, tight, sticky, white head. Good looking beer. Sweet malt. Lemon meringue? Or is it cheesecake? Anyway... Taste is fruity, with a light bitterness. Short, light, bitter finish. Easy drinking.

Cask at Merton Winter Beer Festival. Clear gold lasting white head. Hoppy aroma I mean big hoppy aroma. Flowery. Lots of hops in the mouth almost like hop tea. Massive amount of hops.

Cask, handpump at The Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage, Oxon, Tuesday 18th February 2014 This was a hugely popular beer this evening and had run out by the end of yhe night. As expected it was gold but a warmer gold, looked good. Tasted stronger and more fuller bodied than I was expected, slick with an initial sweetness that moved onto a pleasant and surprisingly hoppy bite and finish, the description is spot on. Fruity but in a way I find that this just lured you in, with a sweet fruity start in some respects it had more in common with The Beast than some sone of Gazza’s more hpp forward crisp, bitter offerings. Really good. I know we’ve got this Merton but it looked good and was so popular I had to have one... or two. A7 A5 T8 P4 Ov15 3.9
