Jeddart Justice is a subtle reminder of how the lawlessness of the border Reivers forced the powers of the law to take drastic measures.

Cask at the Pilot, Berwick-upon-tweed. Pours clear daek amber with a thick white head. Aromas of light malt, toffee, faint herbs. Taste is sweet and watery. More herbs, thyme. Watery thin finish.

On cask at the sraf. Golden amber with a thin head. Toffee mainly. Dry bitter malt. A solid esb but it doesn’t build expectation.

Amber and a bit hazy. Sourish aroma. Similar taste, light body, soft maltiness. Kind of cookie-like, bit then the malts can seem almost Franconian. Hard to know what to make of this.

I don't know why it's lost my rating for this one. I'll add another full review if / when I have it again. I remember nothing other than it being a fairly typical bitter of the style.
