Cask at the Cock Tavern - Hackney, London. Pours clear gold with a fluffy white head. The nose dry pale bread, flowers, marmalade. Light sweet flavor with jammy lemon, mandarin orange, jasmine, mild pale bread. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Good condition. Sweet finish with mild dried pine needle bitterness, bread, more jasmine, flowers, grass, lightly jammy citrus. So so.

Cask at The Old Oak, Horsley Woodhouse, Derbyshire on dads 65th birthday Thursday 26th December 2013 Pours mid gold very slight haze touch creamy and safe particularly when drunk alongside the Iron Road. Hoppy with a little buzz. It’s ok but for Gazza it’s a little too mellow and creamy rather than crisp and hoppy. There is a little sweet citrus and it’s absolutely fine but just lacking a hoppy punch. Btw it’s called Pixie Spring, Bosun James Gray in the RURAD bar but in the other bar (front bar) dad saw a list where it was called Hopcraft, Bosun James Gray and the same for the Iron Road, so as this is on RB then I am assuming they’re both Hopcraft beers.
