Bottle from The Gull, North Vancouver, as Schaarbeekse Kriek; 6.5% ABV, bottled Feb 2019, cork
Deep purple colour, dark and opaque, with no head. Aroma of sour cherries, wood, cork, balsamic vinegar. Dry, mouthpuckering, astringent; powerful cherry character, with robust acidity, and just little of the classic Lambic character.
Excellent fruit character, averagfe Lambic.

Bottle at Pigs ear 2019. Deep deep red colour thin pink head. Sour aroma. Then the fruit bursts in the mouth like blood from an artery. Its pin you to the bench fruity good. Intense. Beer of the day. No doubt. The intense cherry is great. Some salt and vinegar crisps underneath but sooooooooo goooooooood loved it.

Cloudy ruby, soapy pink head. Qiute a bit of stale dried cherries, lacto. The taste has the sour cherries, lots of acetic more than lacto. Too aggressive.

375ml bottle bought online from Etre Gourmet. Pours opaque deep red to purple with a slim loose head. Aroma: tart sour cherry, light funk, oak. Taste: moderate acidic, tart sour cherry jam, vinous, tannins, earthy, some balsamic vibes. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Dry-ish with sweet 'n' sour cherries on the finish. This is good, full of flavour and thankfully not as face-meltingly acidic as some Hanssens beers
